Topic Sannyasins in general
A guide to sannyas and osho oriented sites on the internet. There are literally thousands of sites by and about sannyasins, so we won't try to cover them all. Instead this is a guide to the sites that are generally about sannyas, excluding personal home pages and artists and businesses that happen to mention Osho somewhere.
Osho.com
Of course, the main osho site appears at the URL: www.osho.com (or .org or .net) and is run by the Osho Meditation Resort in Pune, India. Some browsers may have trouble with it and it is not so easy to navigate around (bit like Osho really!). Contains sections for:
the online Osho Times - the online newsletter which is updated a few times a year. Selections of Osho quotes, meditations, vegetarian recipes and a subscription form
Meditation - Details on Osho's meditations, including articles and background information on meditation
Meditation Resort - A virtual tour of the Resort, FAQ, travel details and other information for those visiting the Resort in Pune.
Webcasting - A multimedia section for Osho audio files, video clips of the Resort, audio greeting cards and much more.
Library - nearly all of Osho's books available for reading and searching. Subscription service (about $50/year). Free selection in the Selected Talks area.

Friends of Osho
sannyas.net ("Friends of Osho") is probably one of the oldest sannyas sites around. Started by Mitra (the father of the sannyas internet) it contained links to many other sannyas sites. Winter of 2009/10 it seems to have become inactive "This site is no longer actively maintained..."

Happily reborn as a Wiki. Run by Rudra, the site has been through many incarnations. It is now a Wiki with a section on Osho (biography, bibliography etc) and on friends of Osho, a database of sannyasins.
The sannyas.com domain has been squatted on by a domain name reseller for the last decade but noone has bought it so far. At the last enquiry they wanted "some thousands of dollars" for the name.
Rebellious Spirit
A nicely designed site by people connected to the Osho center in the Czech Republic (Shangri-La Meditation Center) contains occasional articles and news clips related to sannyas and Osho and an event database. Also has a rather sad bulletin board.
OSHOinUK - Regularly updated schedule on when and where Osho Active Meditations and special meditation events are held in the UK. Also features UK sannyas news, profiles, art gallery,adventures and newsletter information.
SannyasNews.com
A web site run by Dharmen and Parmartha and friends in London. Originally focussed on alternative teachers rather than Osho, the focus seems to have returned more to the sannyas scene recently. The site has a bulletin board for posting events and vacancies (mostly based in London and the UK) and a chat board for miscellaneous comments (since closed down). Appears to focus more on the negative aspects of Osho and Sannyasins.
Viha Connection
Viha is an Osho Information Center and Book Distributor, most famous for their Viha Connections magazine, one of the most successful sannyas magazines. Their web site contains selections from the latest issue. Beyond that they also sell books, audio and video tapes and CDs.

A vast, chaotic collection of Osho quotes, jokes, cartoons, gossips and more from the keyboard of DevaKrishna.
OshoWorld
OshoWorld.com is run from Delhi, India by Sw. Chaitanya Keerti (familiar to many of you here) and is one of the most alive osho sites on the web. Every month there is a newsletter containing news, interviews, osho quotes and jokes. The site gained notoriety a few years ago when the Osho Resort took OshoWorld to court to stop them using Osho in the site name. OshoWorld one the case. Juicy site.
OshoLife.tk
Osho's life in his own words. Wide range of quotes from Osho illustrating various stages of his life. Sort of an autobiography after the life as it were.
There are quite a few sites with pictures of Osho, including Ranch and Poona 1 from Samvado, miscellaneous pictures, Osho in his teens and Pune 2
Mailing lists or 'groups'. Yahoo hosts tens of thousands of mailing lists where people can join and send and receive emails between themselves. Search for Osho and you will find hundreds of groups, most of which have less than 5 members. A german sannyasin took the trouble to register about 150 recently, avoid the ones with the names/descriptions entirely in capital letters.

This is just a list of the major sites about Osho's sannyas. There are many more sites especially those setup by sannyasins for centers, artistry, businesses and so on. The best place to find info on these is through various search and directory services, such as Google and Yahoo. Of special note are the following two:
